About this course
Introduction
Hello secondary community, Thank you for joining this training on Counseling as a Culture in secondary.
As we’ve explored together, counseling is not just the job of the counselor—it’s a shared responsibility. Every teacher, parent, school leader, and even alumni can contribute to creating a supportive school environment where students feel seen, heard, and guided.
After watching this video, I hope you learn that:
Counseling happens everywhere—not just in the counselor’s room, but in your classrooms, during group work, school events, or casual conversations.
Counseling is about helping students discover their purpose—by connecting their learning, experiences, and personal growth to their future.
Every interaction matters—from giving encouragement, to asking reflective questions, to helping students explore career options.
And most importantly, counseling is a culture—a daily practice of care, guidance, and collaboration that grows when we all take part.
Let’s continue working together to make career readiness and personal development part of our students’ everyday learning.
